| Description : |
I am being sued by a inlaw for money given to my
wife and I in 1993. At the time we lived in NJ. We
moved to MD that year, the next year she sent us a
note to sign from her accounted we signed in and
sent it back to her in DE where she moved to. we
did make payment for a few years but have not
made 1 in over ten years, last November she sued
us in MD. I found out the statues of limitation
supported us and I sent that in to the court now
she want to sue us in MD under NJ law. When she
gave us the money there was no talk of a loan or
payback just that she could help us. Is there a
statue of limitation for NJ or is that why she is
trying to change it to NJ law. when She did send
and we signed the loan, She lived in DE we live
in MD |
