| Description : |
Does the College Board (SAT, PSAT, AP testing etc)
answer to anyone? They control a major portion of
a student's college search and acceptance process
and it seems that they have complete autonomy with
respect to allowing or denying accommodations on
standardized testing - even when there is a
professional LD diagnosis and other compelling
evidence. Even when they "inadvertently" stall an
application for accommodation well beyond their
stated time-frame and the time-frame in which an
answer was needed to participate in a College
Board sanctioned process, there appears to be no
recourse. They are their own judge and appellate
court. Timing is critical in this process (i.e. AP
Exams are in 4 weeks) and we are powerless. |
